WHAT ARE WE WATCHING?

For this week’s post, we asked some of the fantastic people that work here at Humach one simple question:

“What show are you completely hooked on right now, and why?

Here’s some of the answers we got:

Tim Houlne – “Ironically, it is Mr. Robot, created by Sam Esmail. I like the plot, it seems plausibly that a group of brilliant programmers (hacktivist) would look for security vulnerability at the bad Evil Corp and erase all debts, to make the world a better place.”

Shelly Jones – “The show I am completely hooked on right now is The Walking Dead. I love it for its intensity and suspense.”

Sherene Pitts – “I’ve got three shows I’ve been watching nonstop. The Big Bang Theory – it’s hilarious, and the fact that this group of highly intelligent men are true to who they are, and continue about their lives without letting their financial status or social awkwardness interfere. They persevere! Grey’s Anatomy – it’s my guilty pleasure! I love the drama, and the people are beautiful! The Kitchen – the cast is amazing, and each bring their own style and flair to the show. I love cooking, and get so many great ideas from watching.”

Kathy Schubert – “JonBenet: An American Murder Mystery. I love mysteries and was curious to see if they are getting closer to solving the case.”

Candice Wittman – “I watch Married at First Sight every Tuesday, I am totally hooked and think its a fascinating concept of having someone determine if you would be a good match or not before even meeting and then having to start your relationship already married.. I’ve recently started watching Dr Phil, it makes me feel like a better parent and wife LOL! I also watch Wicked Tuna and Deadliest Catch with my husband because it is an industry that isn’t around here so its fun to see how all of that stuff is done.”

Tom Asher – “Tough question to answer! Currently – It’s Lost. I am just finishing up season one. I know it’s an old show but I never got the chance to watch it when it first came out. Good script, good acting, and I like the way they weave between the present and the past, taking sufficient time to develop the characters and reveal deeper and deeper layers of their personalities, motivations, etc. I also like that there is a medicine man character who is operating at a more spiritual level. Overall, it really reflects a microcosm of a complete society with all of its misunderstandings, challenges, cultural divides, attempts to make a better life, etc.In the past, I loved Mad Men and 100. I’m waiting for season three of 100 to come out.”

Shawn Heiderscheitt – “I regularly watch America’s Got Talent, but this show finished up this week for the season. I watched it because of the variety of acts that it provided and was family friendly. Something that I can watch with my 2 year old daughter. I am looking forward to watching The Walking Dead in a month. I watch The Walking Dead because it allows me to escape into a world and say, ‘What would I do, if I were in that situation?’”

Alex Lebl – OK, I’ll be that guy. There’s only one show that has everything all in one place: the Premier League. The scriptwriters completely outdid themselves last year, as no one could have expected Leicester to win the title. Now with some amazing new characters in the league in the form of managers (more Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola, Antonio Conte, etc.) and new players, this season promises to have more drama, more tension, more laughs, and more exhilaration than most seasons in recent memory.”

Do you watch any of these? Or have a favorite show that didn’t get mentioned? Let us know on Twitter or on our Facebook page. We’d love to hear from you!
